entering into the Commute Solutions Month Challenge, I acknowledge
that I have read and understand the following rules:
1. The
Commute Solutions Month Commute Challenge sponsor is the Capital
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), a government Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPO).
2. The
Commute Solutions Coalition is a voluntary organization primarily
staffed by CAMPO, Capital Metro, the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality (TCEQ), the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the City of Austin,
and the Downtown Austin Alliance.
3. The
Commute Solutions Month Commute Challenge runs from September 10,
2006 at 12:00 a.m. to September 23, 2006 at 11:59 p.m.
4. The
purpose of the Commute Solutions contest is to promote alternatives
to single occupant vehicle travel either during the daily commute to and
from work, or to lunch. These alternatives can include carpool, vanpool, taking
public transportation, biking, walking, or teleworking. Only those
who use at least one alternative to commute to or from work or
lunch will
be eligible for the prize drawing.
5. All
participants must work and/or live in Hays, Travis or Williamson Counties.
Participants may live outside the three counties and work inside
them, or live inside the three counties and work outside them.
As long as your workplace, home, or both are in the one of the three
counties, you are eligible.
6. Participants
enter the drawing by submitting the date(s) and type of alternative
commute method they used for their commute to and from work or
lunch. You
may enter at www.commutesolutions.com
by selecting the Commute Solutions Month Challenge Link or by calling
512-974-2529 between September 10, 2006 at 12:00 a.m. and September 23,
2006 at 11:59 p.m.
7. All
participants will be given one entry for each round-trip commute
to work or telework/telecommute day they participate in during the
Challenge weeks. These entries will be
entered into a random drawing for prizes.
8. Chances
of winning will depend on the number of contest entries and the
number of alternative commutes by each participant.
9.
Prizes will be a $500 gift certificate ($250 Tanger Outlet Mall + $250 Simon Malls), $250 gift certificate to the Driskel Hotel, $200 Visa Gift Card, (2) $100 gift certificaes, (3) $50 gift certificates, and (7) $25 gift certificates to local businesses. CAMPO reserves the right to offer alternate prizes at the same value.
10. Members of the Commute Solutions
Coalition, those who have attended a Commute Solutions Coalition
meeting in the last year, those who have staffed a Commute Solutions
Fair or Commute Fair with the Commute Solutions Coalition in the last year and their spouse, children, domestic partner
or household members are not eligible for prizes.
11. Participants agree to the Commute
Solutions Coalition and CAMPO using their names for publicity for
the www.commutesolutions.com
website, radio and print advertising and publications.
12. Prizes will be awarded on September 29, 2006 at an awards ceremony for Commute Solutions Month. Contest participants need not be present to win.
